Curator Hercules Papaioannou envisioned a photographic interpretation of the city of Thessaloniki to be published in small format 32 page books. The series was titled "A Stroll in the City", each describing photographically a Thessaloniki neighborhood. Three to four photographers participated in each issue. I was selected for the "Aretsou - Nea Krini" area.
These two neighbourhoods are in close proximity to the sea and the first settlers were refugees from Asia Minor. Parts of them contain project housing, others have newly built luxury residencies and there is also a waterfront strip of restaurants, bars and cafes. The photographs for this assignment were taken during the winter of 2013.
Selected photographs from this project were exhibited at the "Thessaloniki Municipal Gallery" in Thessaloniki.
