Since 1986 when I made my student film, I was looking for opportunities to shoot moving images. I created music videos for friends' bands and I worked on four videos for the band Trypes in various tasks (concept, second camera, production and co direction).

Maouna: Untitled Lakes

Music video for the band Maouna. Shot during the first quarantine around the lakes of Volvi and Koronia.

Maouna: No

Music video for the band Maouna. Footage by Antonis Tsoukas, shot on 8mm film in the early 1960's in France.

Maouna: at home

Music video for the band Maouna. During the first quarantine, each band member recorded his everyday life at home using their phones.

Nanoi: Sylvia

Music video for the band Nanoi. An early model of the GoPro camera was mounted on a small wooden boat. A dreamlike journey through domestic and natural landscapes.

Nanoi: Voice in a Cage

Music video for the band Nanoi. Shot mostly in the studio, a close up look on found objects and strange artifacts.

Nanoi: Nanophonic 1 promo

Promo video announcing the first "Nanophonic", an improvisational side project of the band Nanoi at Protos Orofos.

Nanoi: Nanophonic 3 promo

Promo video announcing the third "Nanophonic", an improvisational side project of the band Nanoi at Viotehnia.

Nanoi: Five Boxes promo

Promo video announcing "Five Boxes", Nanoi's third album. Photos by Stratos Kalafatis.

Nanoi: Ypogeio promo

Promo video announcing Nanoi's performance at Ypogeio, their last one.

Trypes: Edo

Music video for the band Trypes (a major Greek rock band in the 1990's). Shot in Epanomi, directed and edited with Anthimos Kalpatzidis and Petros Mitkas.

Trypes: Akouo tin agapi

Music video for the band Trypes. I came up with the concept and cowrote the script with Yiannis Agelakas. Directed and edited by Christos Nikoleris, photographed by Dimitris Stabolis, produced by N-Orasis.

This my one and only 16mm short film. Shot in Brooklyn in 1986 with the help of my classmates from the New School for Social Research Film Department.

Directed by Simos Saltiel, Photography: Simos Saltiel and Tricia Hamman, Assistant Director: Tricia Hamman, Sound: Leslie Weimar, Alexis Kraft, Original Soundtrack Composed and Performed by Michael Burchill.
