About

Born in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1963. He studied Graphic Design and Photography at the Illinois Institute of Technology (Chicago, 1981-1983) and at Parsons School of Design (New York, 1983-1986, BFA, Communication Design). He also attended film courses at the New School for Social Research (New York, 1985-1986).

He started exhibiting his photographic work in 1982 and in 1998 he won the first prize at the Photosynkyria Photography Festival with the exhibition and publication Journeys, 1994-1997. He published the online photography magazine wip.gr from 2008 to 2016 (19 issues). He has had 3 solo exhibitions and he participated in numerous group exhibitions.

His short film Vista was selected for the 2nd Biennale of Young Artists from Mediterranean Europe, in Thessaloniki, in 1987. He has directed numerous music videos.

He founded the graphic design firm Red Creative in 1989. With his collaborators at Red Creative he compiled and published the book Thessaloniki Graphic Design, 1980-2009. Selected works from the book were exhibited in Thessaloniki and Athens. Red Creative is still active in the field of visual communication.
